The story that surrounds Trace Adkins is as interesting as his music. The country singer-songwriter was at first an offshore oil rig worker. Nearly losing part of a finger, Trace Adkins switched careers to become a musician, touring and releasing country music albums. At the peak of his success, Adkins was arrested for drunk driving, but recovered from the public scandal and was even a guest musician at the Republican Party convention in 2004.
